A perfect session for rising juniors and seniors who are eager to start their college search process but need a little help. Led by a senior staff member, this event will focus on sharing resources to get your college search process moving in the right direction.

The essay is one of the most talked about pieces of a college application. This workshop will review why the essay is important, offer strategies for choosing a topic, and include advice from an experienced application reader on how to make your essay stand out.
An Admissions Counselor’s POV: How We Read Applications
For this case study session, you will act asan admissions officer at a selective university reviewingapplicants for a spot at a fictional school. Along the way, you will learn about a holistic review of a college application, how to make your application stand out, and what parts of the application are most important for admission.
Why Early Decision?
Hear directly from an Admissions Counselor about the benefits of applying Early Decision at The College of ۿ۴ý. This session is designed for seniors interested in learning more about the Early Decision application process, but all ages of high schoolers are welcome to attend.

How to: FAFSA
Financial Aid and Admissions experts will walk you through what is needed to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, who is required to help you complete the form, and how to submit your FAFSA to the colleges on your list. Plus, you’ll learn about the merit scholarships and need-based financial aid opportunities at ۿ۴ý.

“What do students do for fun? How is the food…or life in the res halls? What is there to do in the city of ۿ۴ý? Can I start my own club?” If these questions sound like your own, this session is your chance to hear from current students about the campus vibe and day-to-day life at ۿ۴ý.

This 30-minute conversation is an opportunity for you to share your interests and experiences which allows our team to best support you through your college search and application process. Interviews are recommended for admission, and are a required step to be eligible for our top merit scholarship, the College Scholar Award.
